THE STORIES OF CESAR CHAVEZ

Fred The Artist
A native of Southern California, Fred Blanco has been active in the Los Angeles Theatre community for over fifteen years. He studied theatre at Cal State University Northridge, and now holds various stage and screen credits. He has performed in local educational programs including: The L.A. County Tobacco Awareness Program: "Tobacco Players"and the bilingual touring troupe "Avancé". He also created and performed in a local project designed to promote reading and imagination, called "The Amazing Adventures of Oliver Wynn". He has worked with the L.A. Unified School District, and with inner-city youth. He also performs nationally for the San Diego based "Traveling Lantern Theatre Company" and is currently a member of the Orange County based Troupe: "Living Legends". Fred began the development of "The Stories of Cesar Chavez" in 2004, and has really enjoyed the process of writing, producing and performing a piece with such social relevance and humanity.
